“21st Century Ao Dai” triumphs at photo contest in France VNTimes

Nguyen Tien Long with “21 st Century Ao Dai” has won the first prize atthe “A Glimpse of Vietnam in France” photo contest, held recently bythe Vietnamese Students Association (UEVF) chapter in north-westernFrance.

The second and third prizes went to Nguyen Trung Nghiawith “Spring Garden” from Nantes and Pham Phuong Thao with“Student’s Guitar” from La Rochelle , respectively.

Themonth-long contest, the biggest of its kind for Vietnamese students inFrance, drew the participation of 18 UEVF chapters.

Theevent is part activities celebrating the 40th anniversary ofdiplomatic ties between Vietnam and France and the culturalexchange year of the two countries (2013-2014).

It hascontributed to promoting the image of Vietnamese students in France,said Nguyen Hoang Tan, Vice Chairman of the UEVF chapter in Rouenand head of the organising board.

The winning photos will be on display at UEVE-held exhibitions and some cultural events marking the 40th anniversary.-VNA
