Hen party crash driver arrested

The driver of a minibus carrying a hen party which was involved in a fatal collision on the M62 has been arrested.


Bethany Jones, 18, died and 12 people, including the male minibus driver, were injured in the crash with a lorry in West Yorkshire on 26 April.


Miss Jones, from South Elmsall, near Wakefield, was among 21 women on the bus heading to a Liverpool hen party.


Police confirmed a 62-year-old man from Bradford had been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.


He has been bailed while inquiries continue.


The lorry driver, who is from St Helen's, was previously arrested on suspicion of the same offence and remains on police bail.


Police previously said some of those injured in the crash faced a "long road to recovery".


South Elmsall Town Council has set up a fund to provide financial assistance to the victims as they recover.
