British and French emergency teams are searching for a light aircraft that has crashed into the English Channel.
The American-registered plane carrying one person came down about 15 miles off Dungeness in Kent at about 14:30 BST.
The Dungeness RNLI lifeboat and a French helicopter are involved in the search and rescue operation.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) said the alarm was raised after the aircraft, which was heading from London to Le Touquet, was overdue.
