Flames could be seen under the domed roof of the new Hydro building
Firefighters have been tackling a blaze at the construction site of the Glasgow Hydro venue on the banks of the River Clyde.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called out at about 15:20.
Five appliances are on scene and smoke and flames can be seen at the edge of the domed the roof of the building.
The £125m 12,000 seat arena had been scheduled to open at the start of September, with a performance by Rod Stewart.
The fire has caused damage to the roof and burning debris was falling from the top of the building.
