Policymakers continue deliberating draft laws VNTimes

The National Assembly (NA) deputies deliberated a string of draft lawsat a plenary sitting of the ongoing fifth session in Hanoi on June 5under the chair of NA Deputy Chairman Uong Chu Luu.

During the session, Finance Minister Dinh Tien Dung presented a reporton the draft amended Law on Thrift Practice and WastefulnessPrevention.

Chairman of the NA’s Committee forFinance and Budget Phung Quoc Hien then delivered a report to examinethe draft amended Law on Thrift Practice and Wastefulness Prevention.

While discussing a draft law and ordinance buildingprogramme and its adjustments for the NA’s 13 th tenure and this year,deputies also raised weaknesses and shortcomings in the work and ways toensure it is done as planned.

At the afternoonsession, which was presided over by NA Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi KimNgan, Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh delivered areport on the draft revised Law on Bidding.

Otherreports featuring the Labour Law and its verification were also tabledby Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Pham Thi Hai Chuyenand Chairwoman of the NA’s Committee for Social Affairs Truong Thi Mai,respectively.

Deputies later mulled the draft law onamendments to Article 170 of the Corporate Law, which according to them,are crucial.

On June 6, deputies will have a plenary session in the morning and hold group discussions in the afternoon.-VNA
