Laura Robson will attempt to reach the last 16 at a Grand Slam for the second time when she takes on Marina Erakovic at Wimbledon on Saturday.

The Briton will play for the second day in succession, after rain disrupted the schedule, in the second match on Court Two at approximately 14:00 BST.

Victory would take Robson, 19, through to the fourth round, matching her breakthrough at last year's US Open.

Day 6: Centre Court schedule

Wimbledon Centre Court

  • Richard Gasquet [9] v Bernard Tomic

  • Sabine Lisicki [23] v Samantha Stosur [14]

  • Novak Djokovic [1] v Jeremy Chardy [28]

Play commences 13:00 BST

Top seeds Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic are also in action on day six.

Williams takes on the 42-year-old Kimiko Date-Krumm of Japan in the final match on Court One.

Djokovic plays French 28th seed Jeremy Chardy in the third match on Centre Court, where Australian Bernard Tomic takes on France's ninth seed Richard Gasquet in the opening match at 13:00.

Robson returns to Court Two, where she was due to play on Thursday only for the rain to intervene.

The weather is set fair for Saturday and the teenager is likely to face a tough examination against New Zealander Erakovic, the world number 71.

Erakovic won her first WTA title in Memphis earlier this year, before beating Britain's Elena Baltacha and 16th seed Dominika Cibulkova on her way to the third round of the French Open earlier this month.

The 25-year-old is also a good doubles player and has teamed up with both Robson and British number two Heather Watson this year.

She won her only previous match against Robson in Birmingham during the build-up to last year's Wimbledon.

"I've lost to her on grass before," said Robson. "She's got a big game, a huge serve, a good slice as well. Pretty much a perfect game for grass.

"I know it's going to be a tough one. She's been doing really well in doubles lately, as well. Her net game is on the ball. We'll see how it goes.

"I know that [it's] going to be tough, and I'm just going to have to play very well and focus the whole match to win.

"It doesn't matter really who you're playing; you just have to go in with that attitude."

Defending champion Williams, 31, will look to extend her winning streak to 34 matches against Date-Krumm, the oldest woman to reach the third round of a Grand Slam since the Open era began in 1969.

"I have so much respect for her," said the American. "I think she's so inspiring to be playing such high-level tennis at her age. And she's a real danger on the grass court, I know that."

Date-Krumm reached the Wimbledon semi-finals back in 1996, losing to Steffi Graf, and looking ahead to facing Williams, the Japanese player said: "She's so strong. It's very, very difficult to beat her."

Djokovic has made impressive progress so far and has yet to drop his serve heading into round three.

"I'm not one of the bigger servers around, but I try to use my serve efficiently," said the Serb, who won the title in 2011.

"My game is based on the baseline, but this surface makes me come to the net a little bit more often and makes me be aggressive, which I like. I love playing on grass."
