The finance ministries of Vietnam and Cuba have agreed tostrengthen financial cooperation, aiming at further enhancingtraditional relation between the two countries in the coming time.

A memorandum of understanding to this effect wassigned during a working visit to Cuba of a Vietnamese FinanceMinistry delegation led by Deputy Minister Tran Van Hieu from June 2-7.

In the framework of the visit, Deputy Minister Hieuheld a working session with Cuban Minister of Finance and Pricing LinaOlinda Pedraza, to share successful lessons and difficulties inimplementing policies on financial management in state enterprises inconnection with the State budget in the two countries.

The Cuban minister affirmed that Cuba will gradually perfect itsmajor policies in line with the country’s situation while maintainingorder and ensuring effective and sustainable operation of the economy.

She said that the visit contributes to bolstering the two nations’ traditional relations.-VNA
