Authorities of Vietnam’s central province of Thanh Hoa and Laos ’north-eastern Xieng Khouang province have signed a cooperation minutefor 2013-2014 which underscores the need to strengthen coordination inpromoting the traditional friendship, special solidarity and overallcooperation.

The signing ceremony took place during afour-day visit by Secretary of the Thanh Hoa provincial Party CommitteeMai Van Ninh, who is a Party Central Committee member, to XiengKhouang, which ended on June 2.

The inked documentalso put forth suggestions for intensified cooperation, particularly inthe realms of human resources training and the creation of favourableconditions for the two sides’ businesses to lift up their investmentlinks.

During a working session with the hostprovince’s Governor Somcot Mangnomek, the two officials asked theirrelevant agencies to build concrete plans on multifaceted cooperation ina bid to reap the expected results.

In 2013, ThanhHoa plans to provide a 3 billion VND aid to help the neighbouringcounterpart build houses for the poor and state policy beneficiaries.-VNA
