MPs want to question Rupert Murdoch about comments he is said to have made about the police probe into allegations of corrupt payments by journalists.
Mr Murdoch was secretly recorded by Channel 4 news and the Exaro news agency appearing to criticise the police and defending his journalists who have been accused of such payments.
The culture committee has voted to ask the News Corp boss to reappear before it.
He first appeared before MPs in 2011.
