Sgt Danny Nightingale has pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of a prohibited firearm
The military board in the trial of a soldier accused of illegally possessing a gun and ammunition has retired to consider its verdict.
Sgt Danny Nightingale, 38, of Crewe, Cheshire, denies illegally owning a Glock 9mm handgun between 26 November 2007 and 16 September 2011.
He also denies possessing 338 rounds of ammunition.
The board of five at a court martial in Bulford, Wiltshire, has been asked to reach a unanimous verdict.
