Police are being allowed to continue inspecting material seized from a Guardian journalist's partner after an order was agreed between parties.
David Miranda, 28, was held for nine hours at Heathrow Airport on 18 August, under anti-terror laws. His mobile phone, laptop and DVDs were seized.
The High Court was due to consider an injunction, but lawyers for Mr Miranda said an agreement had been reached.
A further hearing is expected to take place later this year.
Mr Miranda's partner Glenn Greenwald has worked with US whistle-blower Edward Snowden on stories about US and UK surveillance programmes.
