Ex-BBC broadcaster Stuart Hall has been charged with 16 child sex abuse offences by police.
The offences include 15 counts of rape relating to two girls aged between 11 and 16 at the time, as well as one count of indecent assault.
The abuse was allegedly committed between 1976 and 1981 in Manchester, Stockport, Wilmslow and Sale.
The 83-year-old is due to appear at Preston Magistrates' Court on 8 November.
