Woman killed in hair salon blaze

Forensics specialists have been working in an area close to the salon entrance

Two people have been taken to hospital after being pulled from a fire which broke out in a hair salon in Stirling.

Emergency services were called to a blaze in the cellar of Venus Hair & Beauty in Maxwell Place at about 11:45 on Saturday.

The pair were taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment. Their condition is not known.

Police Scotland said an investigation into the cause of the blaze had been launched.

Specialist forensic teams have been gathering evidence close to the entrance of the salon.
