National Assembly (NA) deputies continued to look at some draft lawsat their plenary session on June 8 of the ongoing fifth session inHanoi .

Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Thai Binhdelivered a report on the draft law on amendments and supplements to anumber of articles of the Law on Emulation and Reward.

Head of the NA Committee for Social Affairs Truong Thi Mai presented verification results of the draft law.

Later in the morning, the draft law on amendments and supplements tosome articles of the Residence Law was tabled for discussion. Sixteendeputies presented their opinions focusing on activities that should bebanned in this field, conditions for permanent residence registration incentrally-governed cities and validity term of temporary residenceregister, among others.

In the afternoon, lawmakersdebated in groups the draft law on amendments and supplements to somearticles of the Law on Emulation and Reward and the draft Law onEmployment.

On June 10, they will cast votes of confidence on persons holding positions elected or approved by the NA.-VNA
